FAQs on INVISALIGN
How does Invisalign work?
Using
the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign
translates your doctor's instructions into a series of nearly
undetectable aligners. You wear each set of aligners for
about two weeks, moving your teeth millimetre by millimetre
until you've achieved the desired result.
Is Invisalign
effective?
Thousands
of doctors are treating patients with Invisalign. It works
for a wide range of people whose teeth are too crowded or
have spaces between them, as well as for those whose teeth
may have shifted after having worn braces in their youth.
How often
will I have to wear my aligners?
Invisalign
only works while you're wearing the aligners. It's recommended
that you wear your aligners full-time, day and night, except
to eat, brush and floss your teeth --- or as directed by
your doctor.
How long
does Invisalign take?
The
duration of treatment depends on the severity of your case,
which determines the number of aligners you need. However,
the average is about 12 months, but only your orthodontist
can determine the length of your treatment.
How do
I get started?

Precise training is needed to use
Invisalign, consequently, orthodontists and dentists are
required to become Invisalign-certified before they can begin
treating patients with Invisalign. The dentists at Thantakit
are certainly well qualified since Thantakit is an Invisalign
Platinuj Provider awarded by Invisalign USA.
As with other types of orthodontic
treatment, the cost of Invisalign is dependent on the
complexity of a patient's case.
We have several financing options to help you fit Invisalign
into your budget.

The dentists at Thantakit can use
Invisalign to treat a vast majority of patients from

Leave that to us. We can best determine
which treatment is best for you after a free consultation in
our office.
At present doctors are treating more
than 40,000 patients. The number grows daily.
Doctors are treating patients with some
form of combination of braces and Invisalign. We recommend
that you consult your orthodontist or dentist to determine the
best treatment for you.
Yes. Spaces between teeth are generally
easy to close with the Invisalign System.
Most people experience temporary, minor
discomfort for a few days at the beginning of each new stage
of treatment. This is normal and is usually described as a
feeling of pressure. It is a sign that Invisalign is working -
gradually moving your teeth to their final destination. This
uneasiness goes away a couple of days after you insert the new
aligner in the series.
No. Unlike conventional wires &
brackets, you can eat whatever you like while in treatment
because you remove your Aligners to eat and drink. Therefore,
there is no need to restrict your favorite foods and snacks,
unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. Additionally, it
is important that you brush your teeth after each meal to
maintain proper hygiene.
We discourage smoking while wearing
Aligners because it is possible for the Aligners to become
discolored or damaged.
No, gum will stick to the Aligners. We
recommend removing your Aligners for all meals and snacks.
The best way to clean your Aligners is
by brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water.
This depends on the outcome of the
treatment. Some patients might need a positioner, or
conventional retainer. Other patients might need a clear
plastic retainer similar to the ones Invisalign makes. We will
discuss the possibilities with you. Every patient is different
and outcomes vary since how the patient look after their teeth
after the treatment will affect unwanted future movement
possibilities.
Similar to all orthodontic treatments,
aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people, and
you may have a slight lisp for a short period of time.
However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your
mouth, any lisp or minor speech impediment caused by the
aligners should disappear upon familiarization. Despite the
minor impediments, this is currently the orthodontic treatment
that imposes the least speech impediments.
