Quintessential Performance and Reliability
- Four solid walls with optimized slot
depths – including tighter tolerances on lower anterior brackets – offer
improved rotation control and fast, low-friction tooth movement for
superior finishing.
- Stainless steel 17-4
metal-injection-molded construction provides exceptional strength and
durability over the course of treatment.
A Quantum Leap in
Efficiency
Novel Treatment Flexibility
- Horizontal and vertical slots provide
greater versatility for treatment involving high cuspids, blocked-out
laterals and more. Incorporate drop-in hooks, piggyback wires or TAD
auxiliaries – all while progressing through the Damon archwire sequence
regardless of round or rectangular wires.

Damon
Q’s auxiliary slots can incorporate sectional wires to quickly align teeth
– such as blocked-out laterals – while maintaining the patient’s natural
wire sequence. These novel features can reduce the number of appointments
and shorten overall treatment time. |

Precision Bracket Placement
- Removable positioning gauge,
rhomboid-shaped bracket and pad, and vertical scribe line guide
precision bracket placement for smile arc enhancement.
- Each positioning gauge is color-coded to
aid in bracket selection and torque value identification.
- Green: Low Torque
- Blue: Standard Torque
- Red: Super Torque
Ideal Tooth Inclination
- Variable torque brackets introduce
torque correction gradually, beginning with the first light rectangular
wires, to achieve optimal occlusal and esthetic results.
- Minimize the guesswork of adding
torque to wires later in treatment.
- Allow roots to begin uprighting early
during rectangular wire-leveling phase.
- Maintain anterior torque during major
mechanics, avoiding round-tripping teeth, while maintaining posterior
torque during maxillary width increases and bone adaptation.
There
is +/- 10.5° of wire play between a .019 x .025 wire and the .022 x .028
lumen of the super-torque (+11°) Damon Q upper cuspid bracket for
expressed torque of approximately 0.5°. |

Quick and Easy Wire Changes
- Innovative SpinTek slide with chamfered
lingual leading edge facilitates easy slide closure and wire engagement
throughout all phases of treatment.
- SpinTek slide requires only a slight
twist to open, transferring reciprocal forces to the bracket – not the
tooth – for faster wire changes and greater patient comfort.
Active self-ligation brackets exert up to
1.34 kg of unidirectional force during slide opening. But Damon Q’s
SpinTek slide disperses forces in opposite directions for a net force of 0
kg – even despite calculus buildup.
To
open, insert the SpinTek slide instrument into the slide release cavity
and twist 90º. To close, position the instrument on either side of the
slot and squeeze the opposing prong. |

Quality Comfort and Aesthetics
- Small bracket profile and size with
smooth, rounded corners help prevent occlusal
interference while offering patients greater comfort and aesthetics.
Damon
Q’s profile and occlusal-gingival dimensions are much smaller compared
with other self-ligation brackets. |
